Harry knew the terrain intimately -- that low-hanging eave outside the cauldron shop, the shallow alcove between Quality Quidditch and the stationer's, Eeylops Owl Emporium's hidden alleyway. He'd mapped these hiding places while avoiding autograph hounds, but that was not his mission today. No, today he was in high pursuit, his prey just a few steps ahead. Another few steps and he'd be right where Harry--

"Daddy! Look, it's Daddy."

Harry's concentration fractured as he saw Lily waving frantically, Ginny just behind wearing a look of consternation.

"Please, for the love of Merlin, tell me you're not following Malfoy again!"

Oh yay! This is great! I love how you set the scene and I can just see Harry darting to and fro on the hunt for Draco (who else could it be?) But I giggled a lot with the little twist at the end. Oh Ginny, will you ever learn?

Fabulous!

Thank you!! I had the Mission Impossible theme in my head the whole time I was writing that.

And yeah, can't you just seem him a decade later, still certain that Draco's up to no good, and Ginny just rolling her eyes?
