Oh you are silly! *huggles you* I don't know how you could have done this time in their relationship more justice. I know I haven't seen in detail the scenes around which this is set, but this feels very natural to me--very Roman.
I love how you've captured Roman's tendency to prattle on, how passionate he is about the things that he loves, how he wants to tackle them, devour them, make them his--and you can feel that here beneath the surface--I can understand how that would be a fine line to walk with the possessive muse, but I feel like you struck a really good balance here--in the beginning--and it hints so lovely as to what's to come, how Roman's obsession will grow and how he'll try really hard to hold on tightly and keep holding on even after the alley cat has scampered away.
Relating Deniz to a stray cat, too--that was brilliant.
I much enjoyed this--and it was nice that you brought in the commentary about Gay marriage as well--that was a lovely touch.
