Yep, I totally agree -- Arthur's got such a protective streak, but he hasn't had anyone, really, to protect. Without that, he could easily turn mean, I think. The legends are all about nobility and all that, but that seems like such a meaningless abstraction compared to having a real person to love and protect. (Yes, I get sappy about these two, shup.)
