The elements are woven so well into this, the words are beautiful pictures in of themselves, and then the story just breaks my heart.
I have to say, too, that I love it that you went back to Hogwarts. It's been so long since I've read any H/D in the school setting (especially since after HBP) the dueling in the first part was nostalgic. You did a great job weaving it in and out of canon too, without explaining every little thing; it was really easy to fit this into HBP and put the pieces together, and I really liked that.
And I love the way you broke the sections up, with the simple graphics to frame the piece.
This is the first piece of fanfiction I've had the time to read in a bit, and I'm really glad I picked out this one to do so! Lovely work, hon! ♥
